Public Gardens
The NOTA Public Gardens were created during the original Artwalk installation in 2000. Gardens are located at the corner of Portsmouth and University, at Merriman and University, and in the small median by Starry Nites. Currently, a variety of neighborhood-driven volunteer efforts help to maintain these gardens. If you’d like to lend a hand, keep an eye out for volunteer opportunities in the NOTA-Bull email bulletin. You can also email the Gardens committee to volunteer or to become a member of the Gardens Facebook group.
Join In!
Wear your comfortable clothes that can handle some dirt and meet up at any of the volunteer opportunities throughout the growing season.
During the winter, you’re welcome to sign up as an on-call volunteer or to have your group sponsor an event in the spring.
